Valtrus' patents are issued worldwide and cover a broad range of ubiquitous technologies including, for example, data centre servers and security; infrastructure management software; WLAN; network analytics and management; power; operating systems and databases; processors.
INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE
Enabling the oversight and management of the multitude of components within an IT infrastructure, including hardware, software and networking components in both physical and virtual environments, technologies covered by the portfolio ensure that these components perform their desired functions while optimising efficiency and minimising downtime.
NETWORK ANALYTICS and MANAGEMENT
Enabling the management of data transmission and network security, the patented technologies relate, for example, to improved methods of detecting and discovering nodes in a network; managing network topology; identifying transmission paths in a network; controlling network congestion; and reconstructing data from captured data packets. These techniques allow network managers to optimise the speed and reliability at which data can be transmitted through a network.
CLOUD MANAGEMENT
Enabling cloud services to manage and optimise server and computing resources, the patented technologies relate to to processes such as resource provisioning; fault detection and recovery; virtualization; hot replacement of power control and migration of memory between processors. These processes enable managers of cloud services to optimize performance of available resources while minimising downtime.
WLAN
Enabling devices to communicate wirelessly over a Local Area Network [LAN], the patents relate, for example, to improved methods of device detection; facilitation of device mobility across networks and technologies; improved throughput of data through the WLAN as well as improvements to WLAN antennas to allow for low-cost network access points with reduced noise sensitivity.
STORAGE ARRAY and MANAGEMENT
Enabling optimized storage array performance through improved memory management and bus and storage controller communications, examples of the patented technologies include data mapping; storage system journaling; dynamic cache partitioning; hot-plug storage drives; data verification and redundancy; storage virtualization; and prevention of data loss and corruption. These technologies result in improved reliability as well as increased read and write access speeds.
PROCESSORS
Enabling the optimization of CPU architecture and performance the patents relate to a broad spectrum of technologies including, for example, mult-core execution; processor architecture verification; handling interrupts and fault recovery; improved methods of sending data over a bus cable. These technologies allow for increased CPU efficiency, reduced power consumption and improved reliability.
